Magris Talc operates mines in Ludlow, Vermont, Cameron, MT, and Penhorwood, Ontario, CA, and processing plants in Three Forks, MT, Sappington, MT. Houston, TX, Ludlow, VT and Timmins, Ontario CA; with yielding high quality talc. Working at state-of-the-art technology centers, we harness the intrinsic properties of this mineral to provide solutions such as adhesives and sealants, building products, plastics, rubber, paints, food, paper and board, pharmaceuticals and ceramics as well as other specialty markets.

Summary:

Works under limited supervision and according to established federal & state regulations and Company prescribed work procedures and safety policies; Operates plant/packaging equipment and forklift; Performs other duties related to loading and shipping to accomplish a safe and efficient operation; Maintains good housekeeping practices.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To Start: Operates the semi-bulk packaging equipment, including operating a forklift to disposition finished goods, loader operator to transport crude talc from ore bays to milling systems.

  • Gain experience in various areas of the Mill such as:
  • Pellet Mill - works with the Plant Control Operator to ensure quality compliance and efficient operation of all production mills, e.g. Roller Mills, Air Classifier Mills, Classifier, Pellet Mills, including quality control checking
  • Crude (Loader Operator) - works closely with the Plant Control Operator in delivering the proper crudes to the three (3) roller milling systems.
  • Primary (Forklift)- responsible for inspecting and loading rail boxcars, containers and trucks with forklift, and loading them in a fashion that will ensure the best possible arrival conditions
  • Maintenance - responsible for repair and reporting defects in assigned areas; repair and rebuild equipment as needed; fabricate, cut and weld as needed.
  • Packaging - responsible for the operation of all of the equipment associated with packaging system, both bulk and other robotic packaging systems.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.
