ValidaTek is searching for an Inside/Outside Plant Manager to oversee development, installation, and maintenance of inside and outside plant cabling systems that support a large DoD IT infrastructure program providing a common view for all enterprise-wide users.  The Plant Manager will ensure the integrity and reliability of the cabling system, adhering to all required regulations and regulatory requirements that include safety and training. 


In this role, the Plant Manager will:

  • Analyze requirements and develop plans for installations and technical solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of planned installations.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of best practices and technical expertise to ensure continual improvement and reliability of services.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of the infrastructure, troubleshooting particularly difficult issues that cannot be resolved by team.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the technical team.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • 7+ years of experience working in and 3+ years managing an inside/outside plant telecommunications infrastructure in a cleared government environment
  • Knowledge of IP and optical network operations, DoD network and system security requirements, and ITSM best practices.
  • OSHA required Confined Space Training.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
  • All candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.

USD $79,648.00/Yr.
USD $132,746.67/Yr.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
The upper end of the salary range may be reserved for individuals who have demonstrated tenure with the company, seniority, and proven excellent performance. This includes factors such as education, certifications, and extensive/unique experience beyond what is required.
