About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Plant Accountant to join our team and play a key role in supporting plant operations through accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. In this role, you'll partner closely with plant leadership and the Regional Controller to ensure sound financial practices while identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage daily plant accounting activities including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for plant operations.
  • Support budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis to help guide plant performance.
  • Maintain and update standard cost systems, ensuring product costs are accurately captured.
  • Partner with operations to analyze financial and non-financial data that supports business decisions.
  • Track capital spending and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
  • Support internal audits, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and maintain strong internal controls at the plant level.
  • Assist with special projects and financial process improvements.

What You Bring:

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to manufacturing or plant operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems; Oracle or other ERP experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and reporting).
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working across teams and levels.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
