Kimberly-Clark is looking for an ambitious, self-driven and talented individual to join our Enterprise Procurement Capital and Energy team. As the NA Procurement Construction Services & Equipment Sr Specialist you will have overall responsibility to develop and execute the Capex Construction category sourcing strategy and manage construction spend in North America. The role serves as the strategic interface with construction expertise between our Plant, Engineering, Enterprise Capital, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Facilities Management, and Procurement teams and General Contractors.

Kimberly-Clark is taking a long term, strategic approach to building and construction projects to support value engineered, sustainable, and efficient manufacturing operations. You will manage contractors and supplier relationships consistent with Kimberly-Clark approach to long term strategic partnerships with its Construction contractors, material suppliers, and service providers. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively interface and influence a broad range of stakeholders both within Kimberly-Clark and our contractors, suppliers and service provider network.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the Construction and Installation Services and Equipment category.
  • Deliver segment procurement targets for categories in scope.
  • Coordinate with segment and enterprise business stakeholders on category needs and strategy (e.g., collect business requirements)
  • Execute category strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain category management knowledge and processes to ensure the category strategies are informed, relevant and up to date.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships by monitoring performance, conducting supplier reviews, and proactively resolving continuity risks to drive continuous improvement and reduce enterprise-wide supply risk.
  • Build and sustain supplier and stakeholder relationships through clear communication, integrity, and a results-oriented approach that drives collaboration and delivers business outcomes.
  • Lead bidding process, negotiating pricing/terms and conditions, contracting and implementation.
  • Lead sourcing events, collaborating with the Agile Squad team.
  • Identify hurdles and barriers to change, resolve where possible or escalate as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with K-C Policies and internal controls.

The successful candidate will join the Enterprise Procurement Capital and Energy team and report to the team's Senior Director.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in construction management, engineering, procurement, construction agent, owner's construction representative, Resident Engineer or similar role (including plant and/or corporate experiences); Procurement category management experience strongly preferred
  • Deep industry knowledge of construction processes, trends and cost drivers is essential
  • Previous project management experience at construction firm and experience managing general contractors and industrial or manufacturing construction projects is preferred
  • Experience with Engineer Procurement Construction (EPC) and Design-Build contracts preferred
  • Intellectually curious, strong analytical skills
  • Business acumen, excellent communication skills (both written and oral) able to communicate up and across the organization, cross functional collaboration & influencing, functional and technical awareness.
  • Strong project management, process improvement, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a heavily matrixed organization.
  • The role supports North America and will be based in Neenah, WI. The candidate should be prepared to travel to engage with stakeholders and suppliers as required to fulfill the role.

Salary Range: 105,740 - 130,620 USDAt Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan.
