Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead our mechanical design team. The ideal candidate will oversee the design and development of mechanical products and systems, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Mechanical Design Team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and execute mechanical design strategies that align with company goals and project requirements.
  • Oversee the creation and review of detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain teams.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of design projects.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the design process.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present technical information clearly.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, tools, and methodologies in mechanical design

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 + years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ECTR).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and product development lifecycle.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with FEA, CFD, or other simulation tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO) and regulatory requirements.
