As a Manufacturing Engineer - PCBA, you will act as the primary technical leader for our products, serving as the main interface between Plexus's internal Customer Focus Teams (CFTs)-which include Test, Quality, and Process Engineering-and the customer. You will transition your expertise in circuit design, schematics, and system architecture to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing excellence (DfX). Why this role is a fit for an Electrical Engineer:
This role moves you from "designing for performance" to "designing for success." You will leverage your technical depth to solve the complex intersection of electrical function and manufacturing viability.
Core Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Readiness & DfX: Apply your electrical background to identify manufacturing routes, and optimize process flows to ensure a robust and cost-effective PCBA output.
  • System-Level Technical Interface: Act as the internal and external lead for technical communication. You will translate complex product requirements (e.g., schematics, BOMs, and customer specifications) into actionable instructions for the production floor.
  • Technical Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis (CAR/PAR) when issues arise on the floor. Your ability to read and interpret complex designs is vital for debugging PCBA issues, identifying failure modes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively drive efficiency. Use your engineering mindset to identify opportunities to improve yields, reduce scrap, and optimize manufacturing cycle times.

Education/Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

  • Strong Analytical and statistical analysis Skills; Statistical Process Control Software Skills
