Production Planning Manager


POSITION SUMMARY

  • Based on long-term plans and orders, coordinate with personnel, capacity, materials, equipment, etc. from US factories to schedule production. Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules, approve and release MPS towards production planning accordingly.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- ESSENTIAL

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Coordinate with sales, responsible for reviewing sales orders, annual capacity planning, updating rolling sales forecasts, and compiling long-term plans, attend regular order review and establish S&OP process;


Cross-Functional leadership

  • Cooperate closely with sales operations team regard to fulfil ATP process and allocate shipment priority once needed.
  • Manage ECN fulfilment towards ASCT related, record, collect, apply for and control order changes.
  • Adhere to the unified management of the HQ's plans and closely communicate and collaborate with the planning team in China.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Planners.
  • Establish department goals and performance metrics.


ERP/MRP System Management

  • Perform MRP calculations based on Sales Orders (SO), sales forecasts (a), and production master plans (b). Manually adjust MRP data, submit for approval, and issue POs within the KNDY system.


Supply Chain Coordination

  • Track the arrival schedule of materials for issued POs, update the material arrival schedule weekly, and submit the material plan to the warehouse. Track timely receipt into the warehouse according to sales shipment notifications.
  • Coordinate aftersales, confirm rolling safety stock and emergency needs for spare parts, issue spare parts POs, track timely delivery and shipment of spare parts, and handle customer returns promptly.


Inventory Management

  • Based on sales forecasts, historical orders, etc., conduct long-term material stocking and periodically revise safety stock data.
  • Inventory control and control of stagnant materials, tracking of returns of defective goods, and continuous improvement of inventory turnover rate for both production raw materials and finish goods.
  • Collaborate with US planning-related processes, system optimization, and coordination work with the KNDY system to improve operational manuals, including new parts introduction process, rework orders handling etc.


Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Regularly report according to management requirements, including but not limited to daily, weekly, and monthly reports.



QUALIFICATIONS


  • Proven experience in production scheduling, materials planning, master scheduling or inventory planning with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, capacity planning, and scheduling techniques.
  • Proficient in using scheduling software and tools, have solid experience in major ERP system applications regard to planning related area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
