The second fab will utilize its leading-edge N3 and N2 process technology and be operational in 2028. The recently announced third fab will manufacture chips using 2nm or even more advanced process technology, with production starting by the end of the decade. The Role:

TSMC is looking for a Corporate Planning Engineer to support the company's profitable growth through capital-effective demand fulfillment and catalyzing the company's optimal business operation by managing capacity, wafer cost and production control. The mission of this job is to achieve boundary-less corporate business operation through data-driven analysis, streamlined business planning, and operational execution/control.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage capacity expansion to support customer demand and achieve business growth.
  • Drive production line productivity improvements by analyzing workflows and arranging necessary resources to optimize the performance.
  • Support the engagement with customers to enable their products manufactured on US soil.
  • Plan and control capital investments to ensure financial disciplines and achieve strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Fab layout design with optimized efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related fields are preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills for capacity planning and productivity improvement.
  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • 1 year of experience in semiconductor industrial engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Being able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and result-oriented environment.
  • Proactive working attitude, good communication, and well-organized presentation skills.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Good communication skills to facilitate the collaboration across teams.
  • Regular and consistent communication with our headquarters in Taiwan to ensure alignment on goals, processes, and strategies.
  • Strong teamwork spirit and a proactive learning attitude.
  • Fluency in Mandarin speaking, listening, and writing is a plus.

Candidates must be willing and able to work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona facility. 6~12 months training in Taiwan might be offered to expedite the learning process.
