Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Responsible for gathering and disseminating pertinent engineering and cost estimate data to the project selection teams and for working with the teams to develop a program for each project type. Responsible for maintaining the Project Management System and Letting Schedule database. Provides assistance to the Highway Program Engineer in the development of the Highway Construction Program and the STIP (State Transportation Improvement Plan).

Assesses data submitted for Highway Priority Program project creation and determines if project number is required. Responsible for maintaining proper financial tracking and ensuring that projects are eligible for funding and authorization. Support the tracking of requests from the Highway Priority Program Legislative Public Hearings and the preparation of required summaries and responses for the Legislature, as required by state statute.

See below: Engineer Intern 1 $2,115.20/biweekly Engineer Intern 2 $2,263.20/biweekly Engineer 3 $2,671.20/biweekly Engineer 4 $2,952.00/biweekly Engineer 5 $3,158.40/biweekly Appointment Type: This position may be filled as either a probational appointment (open to all qualified applicants); a promotion (open to all statewide classified and Agency-wide permanent status employees); Job Appointment, or by detail to special duty.
