Job description

System One is working with a local client needing a Contract only 1st Shift Expeditor to move parts. Boxes could be up to 30 lbs.
Job Title: Expeditor (Contract Only)
Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Review production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of customer owned parts for repair.
  • Monitor progress and discuss needed changes with department supervisors and personnel.
  • Assist in requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Ensure materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Inventory, Engineering, and Supply Chain and mitigate any issues.
Requirements
  • Previous expeditor, inventory, or similar experience in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP software, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Teams. Quantum ERP system knowledge preferred.
  • Understanding of process flow for MRO of aviation parts for repair.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime and weekends to meet production needs.
