Job Purpose: The Planning & Logistics Expeditor plays a critical role in bridging the gap between material coordination and data-driven planning. Operating within the Planning Department, this role is responsible for the physical movement, tracking, and organization of parts and materials, while heavily utilizing inventory management software to generate, analyze, and update critical planning reports.

The ideal candidate ensures the right parts are in the right place at the right time, while maintaining flawless digital data integrity. Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities: Locate, pull, and physically move parts, materials, and assemblies between production areas, warehouses, and staging zones to meet daily schedules. Monitor the flow of materials through the production cycle to anticipate shortages and eliminate bottlenecks.

Verify physical inventory counts against system records to ensure 100% accuracy. Generate, update, and maintain daily/weekly planning department reports using ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. Input real-time tracking data into the system to reflect material movements, delays, or expedited statuses.

Analyze inventory data to flag discrepancies, delayed shipments, or critical shortages, escalating findings to the Planning Manager or Director. Serve as the primary liaison between the Warehouse, Purchasing, and the Planning Department regarding material availability. Attend production meetings to provide live updates on the status of high-priority parts.

Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills to ensure digital reports perfectly match physical inventory. Ability to prioritize urgent "hot" parts while maintaining routine reporting schedules. Proactive approach to spotting potential material shortages before they delay production.

Education & Experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or production planning environment as an expeditor, material handler, or inventory clerk. Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite, with strong, intermediate-to-advanced skills in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic formulas for report compilation).

Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems or inventory management software is highly preferred. Ability to learn proprietary company software quickly to generate custom planning reports. Ability to lift up to [e.g., 40-50 lbs.] and remain on your feet or moving throughout a warehouse/production floor for extended periods

Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks); forklift certification is a plus but not always required. This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
