Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Team Lead assists the supervisor with day-to-day operations of the assigned production area. This role provides work direction and training to employees and temporary associates while supporting productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, safety, and WMS compliance. The Team Lead also troubleshoots operational issues, supports process improvements, and works across departments to resolve inventory and merchandising concerns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with coordinating daily workflow to meet productivity, quality, and service expectations.
  • Train and provide day-to-day work direction to employees and temporary associates.
  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards and communicate concerns to leadership.
  • Troubleshoot operational and WMS/PkMS issues involving receiving, shipping, reserve, and inventory.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and verify warehouse storage locations as needed.
  • Partner with Operations, Merchandising, Expediting, and other departments to resolve product and process issues.
  • Maintain accurate product information, status reports, issue logs, and other operational documentation.
  • Support inventory accuracy and continuous process-improvement initiatives.
  • Support other production areas based on workload and operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or four years of relevant distribution, warehousing, transportation, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Previous PC experience and proficiency with PkMS or similar warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and accurately enter and maintain data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing changing priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and perform other movements required to inspect inventory and warehouse locations.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 LBS, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a distribution-center environment with varying noise levels, temperatures, and moving equipment.
