What is a PKI engineer?

A PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining encryption and authentication systems that secure digital communications. They work with cryptographic protocols, certificate authorities (CAs), and key management systems to ensure data integrity and security. PKI Engineers typically manage digital certificates, troubleshoot security vulnerabilities, and enforce compliance with security policies. Their role is critical in industries that require strong authentication and secure communications, such as finance, healthcare, and government.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PKI engineer?

To thrive as a PKI Engineer, you need a strong background in cybersecurity, cryptography, and network security, often supported by a degree in computer science or information technology.
