Full-Charge Bookkeeper - Orlando, FL

What: Seeking a seasoned Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage end-to-end accounting operations and support strategic financial decision-making.

Position Overview:

The Full-Charge Bookkeeper will oversee the full cycle of accounting responsibilities, including A/P, A/R, payroll, job costing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on construction accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage general ledger and all financial transactions
  • Handle full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process payroll, including certified payroll
  • Perform job costing and track project budgets
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
  • Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax documents
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Coordinate year-end tax preparations with CPA
  • Maintain compliance documentation (W-9s, 1099s, COIs, NTOs, lien releases)
  • Improve and enforce accounting procedures and controls
  • Oversee benefits administration and corporate insurance
  • Provide general office management support

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of bookkeeping experience, with at least 4 in construction
  • Proficiency in job costing, AIA billing, and construction payroll
  • Strong knowledge of lien releases, NTOs, and compliance
  • Experience with advanced accounting software (not QuickBooks)
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs preferred)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
