5 Tool Performance is a baseball development facility with 17K sq ft. of turf and gym space. We are conveniently located off of 3 majors intersecting highways in Westwood, MA.
We are looking for an educator who is passionate about sports, biomechanics, biology and technology. We need a pitching specific instructor/coach who played at the College Level and can bring their experience, insights, knowledge to the pitching arena.
A. Solid Communication Skills: Comfortable with people and has ability to share and express concepts and ideas through writing and presentation.
B. Analytical Skills: as we use technology daily and interpret numbers. (or be willing to learn), draw correlations.
C. Organized and willing to teach pitching biometrics, mechanics, sequencing, programming, design, and execution/ delivery.
D. Passionate: someone who is obsessed with the game and is willing to work on a team that grinds.
E. Team Player: Happy to collaborate with other people, enthusiastic, fun, kind, compassionate and thoughtful.

Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and energetic pitching Instructor, to join our 5 Team team! As an instructor, we ask that you create lesson plans, share and weigh in on various pitching styles and approaches, programming, provide and share timely, professional feedback, understand how to integrate metrics with gut feel, communicate and guide our clients and their families, and work closely with our team.
Responsibilities
  • Design and create age-appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, skill development, and drills. We have a strong baseline so need you to execute.
  • Proactive in building a client following
  • Lead structured, well thought out lesson plans
  • Provide positive feedback, guidance, and encouragement
  • Customize learning paths to suit each players abilities
  • Communicate with parents/guardians and players
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines
  • Embrace and Improve the 5 Tool culture of learning and evolving
  • Assist with all administrative matters relating to teaching and communicating.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience coaching players is preferred
  • Comfortable with analytics, trends and patterns.
  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred but not required
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Understands how to built trust and relationships
