Miller Pipeline is looking for Equipment Operators. Successful candidates must be able to communicate effectively, have prior work experience with operating heavy equipment, and have knowledge of underground utilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Digging, filling, back-filling, grading or other excavation work including trenches, pits or tunnels
  • Distinguishes between properties, types and moisture content of soils
  • Installation of underground cable and conduit as well as overhead cable
  • Fasten attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge pin hitches.
  • Connect hydraulic hoses, belts, mechanical linkage, or power takeoff shaft to tractor to provide power to raise, lower, or tilt attachments.
  • Move levers and depress pedals to maneuver tractor and raise, lower, and tilt attachment to clear right-of-way.
  • Assess the area to determine if the utilities were properly located prior to performing the underground work.
  • Review the terrain to determine the best method to perform the job.
  • Operate vehicles for hauling.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an operator's apprentice program and/or 3+ years of equivalent experience operating heavy equipment
  • Valid CDL-A license
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customers operator qualifications.
