Job Overview:

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a critical field leader, driving the successful installation of large-scale water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm drainage networks. This role grants you full autonomy to run structure calculations, manage field crews, and problem-solve complex logistical obstacles entirely on-site.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead daily operations for underground utility crews to ensure efficient water, sanitary, and storm sewer installations.
  • Execute precise structure and pipe calculations independently to verify proper alignments and slopes.
  • Supervise and mentor an active field crew of 3-5 professionals to uphold exceptional production and quality standards.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, utility drawings, and site plans to establish accurate grades using pipe lasers.
  • Coordinate directly with jobsite superintendents, engineers, and other trades to establish and manage your own schedules.
  • Maintain total oversight of trench safety, shoring protocols, and daily hazard assessments to ensure complete OSHA compliance.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically serving as an Underground Utility Pipe Foreman or utility crew lead.
  • Proven capability to run standalone pipe/structure calculations and interpret complex utility drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience managing, scheduling, and mentoring field crews of 3-5 employees.
  • Strong knowledge of underground excavation practices, trench safety, and heavy equipment coordination.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or Confined Space Competent Person certifications.
  • Prior experience utilizing GPS, laser grading, and advanced utility locating equipment.
