Job description

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Pipefitter for its Kokomo, IN location. The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems that carry water, steam, air, or other fluids in commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, and adherence to safety and code requirements.
**** Candidate must have HVAC industrial knowledge on Air Handlers, VAV Boxes, Restroom Urinals, Sinks, and Restroom Plumbing Replacement Experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems (steel, copper, PVC, etc.)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required dimensions
  • Inspect systems for leaks, pressure issues, and proper operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Install valves, fittings, supports, and related equipment
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Work with maintenance teams, contractors, and engineers as needed
  • Experience changing flush valves, and working on urinals and toilets

Skills / Experience:
  • Experience in pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of pipe systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Good physical condition (lifting, climbing, working in tight spaces)
