Summary/Objective

The Fleet Repair Tech 1 will be able to troubleshoot and repair sewer inspection cameras and mechanical devices.

Essential Functions

  • Commitment to Pipe View Americaโ€™s core values, mission, and programs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial camera equipment including electronic controls.
  • Communicate with Fleet Tech 2 on camera repair needs.
  • Maintain inventory of camera repair supplies.
  • Document repairs completed.
  • Update databases and inventory for equipment repairs.
  • Schedule equipment for minimum impact to operations.
  • Transport vehicles or equipment to and from repair locations
  • Attend meetings with senior management.
  • Performs related duties as required

Company will provide company van equipped with tools and camera repair training.

Work Environment / Physical Demands / Location

This employee will spend long hours standing, stooping, and bending, which can cause muscle strain. Some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. Travel to local and national job sites as requested. We strive to promote a positive and flexible work environment.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work fall Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours may be required based on the business need.

Travel is required based on necessity.

Competencies

  • Must have good manual dexterity
  • Experience repairing electronic equipment
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Be able to solder
  • Be able to use small power tools
  • Good working knowledge of electricity

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate
  • 2+ years of mechanical repair.
  • Possession of a valid Driverโ€™s License, with a good driving record.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
