Apprentices learn to install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems used in heating, cooling, steam, and industrial processes. The apprenticeship typically lasts 4-5 years and covers topics such as blueprint reading, safety protocols, welding, and pipe system design. Upon completion, apprentices become journeyman pipe fitters and can work in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, and utilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a pipe fitter apprentice?
