What is a pipe fitter apprenticeship?

A pipe fitter apprenticeship is a structured training program that combines paid on-the-job experience with classroom instruction to prepare individuals for a career as a pipe fitter. Apprentices learn to install, assemble, maintain, and repair piping systems used in heating, cooling, steam, and industrial processes.
