The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Chesapeake, Virginia, where you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and medical staff. • Implement direct physical therapy interventions tailored to individual care plans, aimed at alleviating pain, preventing disability, and enhancing muscle function.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring consistency and adherence to care protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patient functional levels through diagnostic tests to provide a holistic assessment of their physical abilities.
• Assess patient home environments and recommend modifications to facilitate greater independence during rehabilitation.
• Deliver superior physical therapy services in compliance with physicians’ prescriptions, applying various techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and technology-assisted modalities.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records that include initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team case conferences, contributing knowledge and insights to enhance the overall treatment strategy for clients.
• Provide expert advice and consultation to clients and their families regarding treatment options and program implementations.
• Stay informed and compliant with federal, state, and governing agency regulations to ensure treatment excellence and patient safety.

Your role will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or conditions, which require specialized rehabilitation services. You will address a diverse client base, including elderly patients, athletes, and individuals experiencing chronic conditions. The objective is to restore their physical mobility and improve their quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique circumstances.

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a licensed physical therapist, preferably in acute care, home health, or rehabilitation settings.
• Current, in-good-standing physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Valid CPR certification and a reliable driver’s license with appropriate auto insurance.
• A dedication to delivering exceptional patient care with strong ethical standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient schedules efficiently.

• Experience working with patients in a rehabilitation facility setting, particularly those recovering from orthopedic procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation standards in the healthcare sector.

We offer an attractive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
