Job description

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for selling hotel rooms, generating awareness for hotel and company, supporting and enhancing sales initiatives that are compatible with Pinnacle Hotel Management sales plans, strategies, and programs, in addition to the planning and coordinating of all meeting room events/meetings.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent of same.

• One year experience similar capacity.

• Must have a valid driver’s license in the applicable state.

Physical requirements:

• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Mental requirements:

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

• Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

• Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.

• Must be able to work with and understand basic financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

Essential:

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.

• Assists Director of Sales with daily responsibilities.

• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Pinnacle Hotel Management standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with Pinnacle Hotel Management dress code and wearing a name tag when working (per brand standards).

• Comply at all times with Pinnacle Hotel Management standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.

• Attend all-employee meetings and any other functions required by management.

• Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies.

• Develop and maintain market awareness.

• Comply with attainment of individual goals.

• Coordinate group and transient bookings to maximize profits.

• Operate within established sales expense budget.

• Monitor production of all top accounts.

• Maintain client files.

• Ensure proper and timely entry of data in sales system, such as SalesPro.

• Coordinate all non-group transient sales solicitations to maximize overall profits.

• Initiate and follow up on leads.

• Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.

• Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees and other departments.

• Complete group and meeting resumes and BEO and route to proper departments.

• Prepare required reports in a timely manner.

• Comply at all times with Pinnacle Hotel Management standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.

• Meet and greet onsite contacts.
