We are seeking an Operations Supervisor in Savannah, GA!

Day shift hours. Shift can end as late as 7pm.

Saturdays are required

JOBSUMMARY:

The Operations Supervisormonitorsalloperations including, butnot limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork,communicate freightstatusanddispatch driversforpickup.The supervisorwillbe the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, systemoperationsand vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.

EssentialFunctions:

  • Responsibleforongoingprocessanalysisofoperationalsystems,procedures,andstaffingtodrive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies. Assist District Manager with general tasks

  • Responsibleforensuringsafe operationsaswellascompliance withallOSHAregulations, all applicable laws, and Pilot's Corporate Policies

  • Effectivelytrain,supervise,coachandevaluatealldirectreportstofostergoodcommunicationsandmorale

  • Reviewsoperationalkeyperformancemeasuresmonthlyaswellasbenchmarkingdatatodriveany required correctional or improvement strategies

  • Communicatingfreightstatusandanyproblemstocustomers,vendorsandotherPilotstationsandpersonnel

  • Freight handlingviaforklift

  • Load/Off-loadbuildtrucksforoptimalrouting

  • Otherdutiesasassigned
