Maersk Ground Freight (MGF)offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload),brokerage,cross-border trucking,groupage,andsortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses ordepots orcross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. We are seeking an Operations Supervisor in Savannah, GA!

Day shift hours. Shift can end as late as 7pm.

Saturdays are required

JOBSUMMARY:

The Operations Supervisormonitorsalloperations including, butnot limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork,communicate freightstatusanddispatch driversforpickup.The supervisorwillbe the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, systemoperationsand vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.

EssentialFunctions:

• Responsibleforongoingprocessanalysisofoperationalsystems,procedures,andstaffingtodrive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies. Assist District Manager with general tasks

• Responsibleforensuringsafe operationsaswellascompliance withallOSHAregulations, all applicable laws, and Pilot's Corporate Policies

• Effectivelytrain,supervise,coachandevaluatealldirectreportstofostergoodcommunicationsandmorale

• Reviewsoperationalkeyperformancemeasuresmonthlyaswellasbenchmarkingdatatodriveany required correctional or improvement strategies

• Communicatingfreightstatusandanyproblemstocustomers,vendorsandotherPilotstationsandpersonnel

• Freight handlingviaforklift

• Load/Off-loadbuildtrucksforoptimalrouting

• Otherdutiesasassigned

PayRange:

$70,000-$75,000 per year

*The above stated pay range is theanticipatedstarting salary range for the position.The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salaryin accordance withall applicable laws.
