The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.
There is flexibility to consider Fremont or Livermore, CA, or Tualatin, OR for the work location.
The impact you'll make
Join Lam as a Program Manager, where you'll spearhead Supply Chain's key cost reduction initiatives aimed at improving Lam's long-term profitability. With your systems knowledge and business acumen, you will work across all of Supply Chain to deliver material price paid cost reduction. Day-to-day, you will collect and analyze data, evaluate processes, develop metrics, and identify cost issues and opportunities with data-driven indicators. Overall, you will have interactions with most of Supply Chain as well as own the outcome of one of the most visible programs in the organization.
What you'll do
  • Manage Financial Reporting by analyzing key cost components of Material Cost of Sales (MCOS) such as purchase price variance and provide valuable insights into opportunities to save cost.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance and Supply Chain teams to support cross-functional activities tied to monthly and quarterly forecast cycles within the corporate planning calendar.
  • Independently own end-to-end cost data preparation and analysis and serve as the subject matter expert for savings calculations and projections.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Groups on various cost related projects to support business decisions.
  • Manage and support existing Supply Chain cost savings programs; explore and identify future opportunities.
  • Streamline decision making cycle time by reconfiguring and improving existing tools and processes.
  • Drive miscellaneous ad-hoc analysis of FinOps related data for executive communication and business insights.

Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, or a related field with 12 years of experience; or a Master's/MBA in a relevant field with 8 years of experience; or PhD with 5 years experience.
  • Experience in project and program management, with strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Data-driven professional who turns complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficient in preparing, analyzing, and presenting data using Advanced Excel, Power BI, and basic SQL.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and engage senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively as part of a team, and lead cross-functional teams when needed.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to succeed successfully under pressure and time constraints.
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve.
  • Willingness to travel to support critical programs ~15% of time.
  • Prior Semiconductor supply chain experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in navigating through 2 or more departments or roles within the same company is a plus.

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
