A marine/heavy-civil construction company currently seeking a Operations Manager with 10+ years of Marine Contracting Experience involving pile driving, rigging, cofferdams, concrete, dredging, piers, bridges, timber construction, and equipment operation a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and supervise workers engaged in marine construction. Activities include planning, organizing, directing and controlling methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, work schedule and reviewing documentations.
  • Coordinate assigned work with in-house trades, subcontractors and company departments.
  • Conduct project safety meetings and enforce compliance with project safety program requirements for all in-house trades and subcontractors.
  • Supervise, mentor and coach foremen in your assigned work area as it relates to company policies, procedures, and technical work requirements.
  • Provide liaison between field engineering, estimating, and trade to ensure compliance of construction with plans and specifications and that work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Inspects work areas to determine type of work required, materials and equipment to be used at the jobsite.
  • Coordinate and execute mobilization efforts and jobsite setup.
  • Resolve construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) and constructability challenges as required.
  • Ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule are maintained throughout assigned projects.
  • Estimating and Bid Experience.

Requirements: * 10+ years of experience as a Field Superintendent in the marine/heavy-civil construction industry.

  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Office Software
  • Valid Driver License
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Demonstrates effective leadership skills.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.

NCCCO Crane Operator Certification a plus.
