Gage Marine Pier Division is looking to Hire a Handyman (Carpentry Focus)


We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual with a strong carpentry background to join our team. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including general maintenance, repairs, and DC electrical projects, with a particular emphasis on carpentry work. The right individual will have experience with basic power tools and will be able to build simple wood pier pieces. The individual must have a good mechanical aptitude to be able to diagnose and perform repairs on boat lifts. Experience with basic hydraulic systems involving 12/24-volt controls is preferred but not necessary. You will be a key member of our team, ensuring the quality and functionality of our customers' piers and boat lifts.


Responsibilities

  • Perform carpentry tasks, including Building pier components, pier ladders and stairs along with varies projects in other divisions within Gage Marine.
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs on boat lifts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Complete other various projects as assigned
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a handyman or carpenter
  • Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
