Job description

MPU Electrician – Solar (Piece Rate + Company Vehicle)

Full-Time | No Electrical License Required

We are looking for an experienced MPU Electrician/Service Upgrade Technician to support our solar installation teams. You will perform meter panel upgrades (MPUs) , service upgrades, and utility coordination to ensure solar projects pass inspections and receive PTO quickly.

This role does NOT require an electrical license , but field experience with residential service equipment is required. Piece-rate pay plus a company vehicle is provided.

Responsibilities

• Complete solar-related MPUs and main panel upgrades.

• Perform service disconnects/reconnects, grounding/bonding, conduit runs, and equipment swaps.

• Coordinate with utilities for shutdowns and inspections.

• Ensure all work meets NEC and utility requirements.

• Submit job photos, documentation, and closeout reports.

• Maintain company vehicle and follow all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Hands-on electrical experience (MPUs or service equipment).

• Solar or residential electrical background preferred.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to work independently on a piece-rate schedule.

• Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills.
