Shipping & Distribution Specialist
Glenshaw, PA
First Shift: 6:00AM - 3:00PM or 7:00AM - 4:00PM Monday-Friday
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Distribution Specialist plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and
accurate shipments of our converted materials. This role is responsible for preparing, verifying, and coordinating
the shipment of products to domestic and international customers. The ideal candidate has previous experience in
a shipping/warehouse environment, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Experience
with inventory management is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and package product for shipment, ensuring all customer and carrier requirements are
met.
Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation using internal systems.
Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.) for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
Inspect outbound shipments to verify quantity, quality, and labeling accuracy.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area that complies with company and industry standards.
Assist with inventory cycle counts and reconciliation as needed.
Communicate with Customer Service and Production teams to ensure timely and accurate order
fulfillment.
Track and monitor shipments and resolve any delays, errors, or discrepancies.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as required (certification can be provided).
Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.

Familiarity with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) and ERP systems.
Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work orders, and customer specifications.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
Inventory management experience is a strong plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Ability to operate a pallet jack.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle delicate materials and packing tasks.
Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
