Job description

Requires a BS or MS in engineering. All the skills and abilities of Engineer L1. Additionally, must be proficient in technical writing and possess computer skills for scientific and technical applications. Must be able to proficiently handle multiple projects and develop analytical procedures. Work with suppliers to assure parts/services are requested appropriately, evaluate technical proposals, and write technical reports. Make technical decisions with moderate supervision. Ability to report research and test results in various technical formats. Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals.
Key Background Requirements:
•Must be able to design and develop Chassis components (wheel, brake, fuel, exhaust, etc).
•Must be able to work with other design and test engineers and suppliers to analyze and resolve technical problems.
•Must be able to handle multiple projects and work with a team to meet development schedules.
•Requires Catia V6 proficiency
•Both Solid and Surface modeling fluency
•Design intent and robust modeling (models can withstand major revision)
•Drawing and GD&T awareness
•Prefer previous Chassis design experience.
•Strong understanding of design for manufacturability
•Ability to pick up new standards and methodologies
•Capability to interpret basic CAE result (stiffness, natural frequency, etc)
•Requires a BS or MS in Engineering
