Job Description

Fortune Brands is seeking a Lead ABAP Developer as part of our IT Manufacturing Systems team.  This senior level role will work closely with business stakeholders for the design, creation, delivery, adoption, and support of our internal manufacturing solutions.  Responsibilities include end-to-end project management supporting our Global Manufacturing and Operations teams.  Relevant experience in SAP ABAP, Manufacturing Execution (PP), and Inventory and Warehousing (IM/WM) are required.  The successful candidate will have the appropriate technical expertise, project management skills, and excellent communication skills as well.

Position location – Hybrid (onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - Deerfield, IL or Remote 

RESPONSIBLIITIES:
What you will be doing
•    Works with business leaders and acts as a liaison between Information Technology (IT) and business leadership for assigned business units or vendors. 
•    Collects, analyzes, reviews, documents and communicates business needs and requirements. 
•    Ensures that the design and integration of customer solutions with IT and business partners leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology.
•    Integrally involved in “buy vs. build’ decision-making.
•    Is proactive in understanding the customer’s business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short and long-term direction of the business and technology. 
•    Identifies, proposes and influences business solutions, negotiates deliverables and requirements across multiple business customers or organizations. 
•    Develops and improves business processes at all times, assisting with the development of metrics, both within the technology and business organizations.
•    Serves in a leadership role in the business unit(s) and within the IT organization. 
•    Manages and balances the needs of diverse customers and the IT organization.  
•    May supervise the project work of business analysts and developers.
 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline is required
•    A minimum of 8 years of related IT experience is required
•    Deep knowledge of SAP ABAP, experience within a manufacturing environment, and SAP Inventory/Warehouse Management (IM/WM) is required
•    Plant material flow and control knowledge, API development, and SAP ITS Mobile experience is desired
•    Experience with SAP PM/product serialization and SAP IM/WM configuration is preferred
•    Understanding of Agile methodologies to align with business priorities, break down work into Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and iterate quickly on product changes
•    Thorough understanding of structured analysis, design, programming techniques, and change management
•    Expert skills in analyzing business problems, objectives/requirements and translating them into an application solution
•    Works effectively on project teams as a leader or as a participant.  Proven track record of successful, large-scale website implementation projects from a leadership and development perspective.
•    Readily picks up and applies new business concepts, new application systems, and new technology, to all job activities and specific project assignments.
•    Communicate effectively, both oral and written, with internal customers, other Information Technology Associates, 3rd party vendors, and IT senior leadership.  Prepares and delivers effective and well-organized presentations.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
