Worship Leader (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Creative Church - Twin Cities, MN
Creative Church is a diverse, Spirit-filled, non-denominational church located in the Greater Twin Cities, Minnesota area. Our heart is to create space for Jesus, invite others into His presence, and build a culture of passionate worship that spans generations.
We are seeking a Worship Leader who is not only musically gifted but also deeply rooted in prayer, scripture, and hosting the presence of God. This leader must carry the anointing to disciple and oversee volunteer worship teams, while embracing the unique DNA of Creative Church-a charismatic, evangelical, Pentecostal expression marked by hunger for God's presence.
This role can be full-time or part-time depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Expectations
  • Spirit-Led Leadership - Model a devout prayer/devotional life and lead worship services that create authentic encounters with God.
  • Cultural Alignment - Fully embrace the Spirit-filled, charismatic, Pentecostal culture of Creative Church.
  • Volunteer Development - Recruit, train, and pastor worship team members across multiple campuses and services.
  • Musical Excellence - Lead with strong vocal ability while playing piano and/or guitar in live service settings.
  • Team Player - Collaborate closely with pastors, creative team, and other worship staff while remaining humble, teachable, and unoffendable.

Responsibilities
Worship & Service Leadership
  • Lead and facilitate engaging, Spirit-filled worship during weekend services, midweek gatherings, and special events.
  • Flow with pastoral leadership during services-lingering, prophetic, and responsive worship moments.
  • Participate in service planning meetings and collaborate with pastors on worship flow.
  • Integrate diverse worship styles (examples: Jesus Image, Upper Room, Bethel) to connect cross-generationally.

Volunteer Leadership & Oversight
  • Recruit, develop, and shepherd volunteer worship team members (musicians, vocalists).
  • Oversee scheduling, rehearsals, and music preparation.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, unity, and authenticity within the team.
  • Mentor volunteers in both musical skills and spiritual growth.

Systems & Administration
  • Utilize Planning Center, Multitracks, and Playback for service planning.
  • Collaborate with creative and production teams on sound, lighting, and multimedia integration.
  • Maintain instruments, equipment, and worship resources.

Qualifications
  • Mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through lifestyle and devotion and scripture memorization
  • Strong vocal and instrumental ability (must lead from guitar and/or piano).
  • Proven experience leading worship in a church setting (preferred in medium-to-large church context).
  • Ability to lead and engage congregations in authentic worship.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to connect with both team and congregation.
  • Humble, teachable, and adaptable to the culture of Creative Church.
  • Familiarity with worship technology (Planning Center, Multitracks, sound systems, lighting).
  • In good standing with current or most recent pastor-pastoral reference required.

Preferred Extras (not required but highly valued):
  • Songwriting, arranging, or production experience.
  • Previous worship leading experience in prayer rooms, soaking, lingering flowing worship, revivals, altar calls, etc.
  • Degree or training in music, worship, or related field.
