Job description

Opportunity:
Propel Schools is seeking a Girls' Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 26-27 season starting this Fall:
  • Propel Andrew Street High School/Propel Braddock Hills High School
  • Propel Montour High School

Successful candidates will have:
  • Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience
  • Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach, playing experience, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level
  • Responsibility for assembling his/her coaching staff
  • Experience coordinating the Varsity program with the assistant coach and athletic director
  • Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations.
  • Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations.
  • High level of personal organization and planning
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
  • A commitment to the Promising Principles of Propel

Season Information:
  • The 2026-2027 volleyball season is scheduled is scheduled to begin on August 17th, 2026 and is anticipated to conclude in November, although the season may end earlier depending on if the team participates in postseason.
  • This position includes a seasonal stipend of $3,500. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.

  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance
  • Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter Training
