Job description

PITTSBURGH INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS, founded in 1929, is a nationwide leader in aviation maintenance and electronics training and is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Admissions Representative at our Youngstown Campus to set appointments with prospective students; conduct tours; present accurate information in accordance with school’s accrediting standards; guide students through enrollment process; follow up with enrollments to ensure the preparation to begin classes; and, participate in open houses. This position may require travel to local area high schools, career fairs, and community events to present information on an education in aviation.

Pay Range: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, high schools, counselors, and the community at large.
  • Schedule campus tours by contacting leads by phone, text, email, or mail.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to follow up with leads daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Multitask with a dynamic office team.
  • Represent PIA at career days, career fairs, Air Shows, and community events as needed.
  • Provide up-to-date materials and information regarding PIA and its programs to prospective students.
  • Assist other admissions representatives with information calls and follow-up when schedule permits
  • Conduct lead-generating communication and follow-ups.
  • Occasional booking of presentations via email, telephone, or in person and provide support for classroom presentations when necessary: Present a PowerPoint on the Aviation Industry and PIA at the campus Open House and other events.
  • Travel to Pittsburgh and/or other locations up to 25% of the time.
Knowledge, Skills amp; Traits:
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to coordinate and schedule tours, field trips, and other campus activities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfort with the use of technology, including laptops, projectors, presentation software, and databases.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with personnel of high schools, other secondary schools, and the community.
  • Ability to complete tasks and paperwork in a timely and organized manner
  • Persistence in following leads and developing relationships
  • Consistent interpersonal, phone, and community outreach communication skills including public speaking to large and small groups.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint/presentation software and computer (PC) skills are required.
  • Must meet established performance goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Prior experience in school admissions, teaching, and/or sales is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
  • Occasional overnight (reimbursable) travel will be required.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain FBI clearances in Pennsylvania
  • Ability to obtain clearances to access schools in Pennsylvania
