Location: Minneapolis VA Health Care System - Minneapolis, MN
1 Veterans Dr, Minneapolis, MN 55417
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Position Type: Contract / Contingent Upon Award
Anticipated Start: September 2026
RieLes Group is seeking a Therapeutic Medical Physicist to provide onsite support for the Radiation Oncology program at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. The selected candidate will support the Chief Therapeutic Medical Physicist with clinical physics, treatment planning support, QA, radiation safety, and quality management activities
Responsibilities:
Support radiation treatment planning, plan review, and dose delivery accuracy
Perform equipment QA, patient-specific QA, calibration, and documentation
Assist with radiation safety and quality management activities
Support ACR, ASTRO, AAPM, VA, and patient safety standards.
Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and clinical staff
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's or PhD in Medical Physics, Therapeutic Medical Physics, or related field
Board certified or board eligible in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by ABR, ABMP, or CCPM
Recent therapeutic medical physics experience in a clinical radiation oncology setting
Experience with QA procedures, Varian TrueBeam, TG-142, IGRT/Cone Beam CT, RayStation, ARIA, IMRT/VMAT, SRS, SBRT, MapCheck or equivalent, and CT simulation preferred
CAMPEP-accredited program graduates are encouraged to apply.
Ability to complete VA credentialing, onboarding, and training requirements
