Physical Therapy Techs often encounter challenges such as managing a busy schedule with multiple patients, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready, and adapting to varying patient needs and mobility levels. What is a Physical Therapy Tech?

A Physical Therapy Tech, also known as a Physical Therapy Aide, assists physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in providing care to patients. They help with tasks such as setting up equipment, preparing treatment areas, assisting patients with exercises, and maintaining cleanliness in the clinic. While they do not provide direct patient care or perform clinical procedures, their support is essential for the smooth operation of a physical therapy practice. Physical Therapy Techs usually work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, or rehabilitation centers. The role typically requires a high school diploma and on-the-job training.
