• Evaluate and assess patients’ physical conditions to develop tailored treatment plans that target injury recovery, functional improvement, and overall health enhancement.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and advanced modalities, to address patients' pain and mobility challenges.
• Monitor and document each patient’s progress through detailed records, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care approaches and maintain open lines of communication with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, exercises, and assistive devices necessary to enhance their recovery.
• Stay current with industry standards and advancements by participating in continuing education and attending relevant workshops.
• Actively engage in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of physical therapy benefits and healthy living.

As a Physical Therapist at Legacy, you will work with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of diagnoses, from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic pain management. • A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems.
• Demonstrated capability for flexible and adaptive thinking to meet the needs of diverse patient cases.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred, though new graduates with solid educational foundations are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience implementing outcome measures and a passion for patient-centered care will be highly regarded.
