JOB DESCRIPTION:
To assist in working with groups of students in physical education and perform duties to facilitate that program.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist physical education teacher in helping children master objectives.
  2. Support and carry out activities related to the program.
  3. Executive duties involving supervision of children.
  4. Communicate with students, teachers and parents.
  5. Other duties as assigned by physical education teacher and principal.
  6. Assist in supervision of students riding late buses.
  7. Regular assistance.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous work with children in job-related capacity or volunteer work
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • High School diploma
  • Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Appreciation of and patience with children
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Positive human relations skills
  • Excellent communication skills
