Bring the Outdoors to Life Through Photography

At GSM Outdoors, we're passionate about creating innovative products that fuel outdoor adventures. As the parent company of industry-leading brands including Stealth Cam, Walker's, Muddy, Hawk, TRUGLO, Birchwood Casey, Big Bite Baits, Bill Lewis, Cuda, Boss Buck, and many more, we're committed to delivering compelling visual content that connects with outdoor enthusiasts across North America.

We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Product Photographer to join our Marketing team. In this role, you'll capture high-quality product photography that brings our brands to life across e-commerce, packaging, catalogs, advertising, social media, and digital marketing channels.

If you're passionate about photography, thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, and enjoy turning products into compelling visual stories, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Product Photographer, you'll be responsible for producing polished, production-ready images that support our growing portfolio of outdoor brands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality studio product photography for e-commerce, catalogs, packaging, advertising, social media, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Set up and operate professional camera equipment, studio lighting, and tethered shooting workflows to produce consistent, high-quality imagery.
  • Edit, retouch, and color-correct product images using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom while maintaining brand standards.
  • Ensure all photography meets production specifications and is optimized for both print and digital use.
  • Organize and manage digital assets, file naming conventions, and image libraries.
  • Maintain consistency across multiple product lines and brands.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Product Development, and Brand teams to understand project objectives and deliver assets on schedule.
  • Manage multiple photography projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Assist with developing and improving studio photography workflows and best practices.
  • Stay current on photography trends, equipment, and editing techniques to continually elevate the quality of creative assets.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 1+ years of professional product photography experience in a commercial, agency, or in-house marketing environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating studio product photography and advanced photo retouching skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
  • Experience using DSLR or mirrorless camera systems, studio lighting equipment, tethered shooting, and professional photography workflows.
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, exposure, color management, and image optimization.
  • Experience photographing consumer products; experience within the outdoor, hunting, fishing, or shooting sports industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with additional Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Illustrator, InDesign, or Premiere Pro, is preferred.

What Makes You Successful

The ideal candidate is:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing consistent, high-quality work.
  • Creative with a strong visual eye and passion for storytelling through photography.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • An excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve processes and elevate creative output.

Why Join GSM Outdoors?

At GSM Outdoors, your work will be seen by millions of outdoor enthusiasts across retail stores, e-commerce platforms, digital campaigns, catalogs, and social media. You'll have the opportunity to photograph innovative products from some of the most recognized brands in the outdoor industry while collaborating with a passionate, creative team.

If you're ready to combine your photography expertise with your passion for creative storytelling, we'd love to hear from you.
