Job description

FAM Brands is an award-winning wholesale apparel conglomerate of owned brands, licensee partners, and private label ventures. Since 2000, in addition to operating our own slate of brands, we have been entrusted by world-renowned heritage brands to reimagine and bring their apparel to new markets - most notably, the coveted club wholesale landscape.

We're seeking a detail-oriented Photo Editor with a strong eye for color, composition, and quality to join our high-volume post-production team. He/she will work across multiple brands, businesses, and retailers, each with exacting standards. This role is responsible for editing, retouching, and optimizing imagery across eCommerce, marketing, and brand channels while maintaining visual consistency.

The ideal candidate is passionate about their craft, experienced with AI tools in post-production workflows, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where assets in postproduction average 350 per week. Strong prioritization, collaboration, and adaptability are essential to success in this role.

Below is a general guide of what the position encompasses:

Photo Editing

  • Edit and retouch high-volume product and on-model imagery for eCommerce, packaging, and marketing use
  • Perform color correction, skin retouching, wrinkle reduction, background cleanup/removal, and image refinements up to 1,000 per month
  • Ensure consistency across lighting, cropping, sizing, alignment, and overall brand standards
  • Prepare and export final assets according to retailer, platform, and business specifications
  • Review imagery for quality control, accuracy, and visual consistency prior to final delivery
  • Define photo editing standards and guidelines for the slate of brands and retailers

GenAI

  • Utilize AI tools and workflows to render photos and video, support image enhancement, compositing, cleanup, and operational efficiencies
  • Introduce AI tools and plug-ins to improve and scale retouching workflows while maintaining image integrity, the fast pace of workflow, and brand accuracy
  • Stay current on evolving AI editing technologies, retouching techniques, and digital production trends

Asset Management

  • Following the defined information architecture, maintain organized file structures and adhere to established naming conventions and asset management processes
  • Ensure all files are versioned, archived, and delivered accurately across internal and external platforms
  • Support workflow tracking, status updates, and asset handoff between the photo studio, creative services, and the digital asset manager

Cross-Functional Obligations

  • Communicate project risks, inconsistencies, or delays proactively to leadership and production partners
  • Contribute to maintaining creative and operational standards across all brands and business channels

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline communication, tracking, and asset delivery processes
  • Provide guidance, training, and workflow support to both internal and external 'requestors', people who are using assets in their workflow, to ensure a seamless experience
  • Mentor team members on post-production skills including resizing, editing, and cropping

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of high-volume photo editing experience for eCommerce or packaging, preferably in apparel or fashion
  • Proven ability to manage large asset bundles (150+ images) and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One; experience with AI-powered editing tools preferred
  • Solid understanding of eCommerce photography standards with exceptional attention to detail and color accuracy; DAM experience a plus

This role is based at our Beverly Hills HQ a minimum of 4 days per week, with the possibility of one remote day depending on business needs.
