The Screening Operator places a protective coating on the surface of the printed circuit board panel exposing only holes and pads in order to allow solder to be selectively applied. The liquid photo imageable soldermask is screened onto a clean panel utilizing manual or automatic screening system. Screening Operators apply LPI soldermask and legend to the panels, expose and develop soldermask, and clean screens. The developing process is the removal of the unexposed soldermask in order to leave a clean surface for solder coating. Screening Operators process panels through the screening/soldermask operation per the designated written process Work Instructions.
2nd shift schedule of 3-11:30 PM, Mon-Fri, initial training may be required on a different schedule
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process panel per Screening and Soldermask work instructions
  • Operate Printar automatic screening system. Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
  • Inspect spray nozzles and service as necessary. Verify nozzle pressure.
  • Properly mix and apply ink for legend screening and soldermask.
  • Inspect panel for defects. Inspect for full coverage and ink contamination.
  • Cure soldermask or strip soldermask, as required, per written work instructions.
  • Screen panels using constant squeegee pressure and speed.
  • Tack dry in conveyor oven.
  • Must adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including requirements for keeping the area clean and organized as documented in written process procedures. Required to utilize all appropriate safety equipment and to receive annual RCRA and safety training.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Solid knowledge of math
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of chemistry and electroplating processes preferred
  • Ability to work around chemicals
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to perform visual inspection
  • Ability to produce quality work under pressure
  • Able to understand and follow daily work direction and process instructions in English as received verbally or in writing from supervisor or other qualified person.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in noisy environment (hearing protection provided)
  • Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours

High school diploma or GED.
Required Experience:
No experience required. We can train candidates with the essential knowledge and skills.
Preferred Experience:
Previous printed circuit board manufacturing experience preferred. General manufacturing experience helpful.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$37,938 - $59,967
Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
