Job description

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION

A Quality Control Inspector positionis available at Garney. Join our Garney team to manage and support project Quality Management Specialists, ensuring each project is successful. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the execution of Quality Control Programs for Garney Construction projects.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • The Construction QC Inspector is responsible for conducting jobsite inspections and materials testing
  • Ensure various constructed components conform to project drawings, specifications, and material standards
  • Partake in weekly Quality Control meetings
  • Perform/supervise quality inspections as needed by the project or Project Manager
  • Identify, document, and report discrepancies, defects, or non-conformance issues to the project management team
  • Provide effective and efficient communication with project personnel
  • Promote Garney's safety programs and procedures to promote a safe working environment
  • Follow QA/QC standard practices
  • Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results
  • Must be willing to travel
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 5+ years relevant construction inspection, quality assurance, and quality control experience in industrial construction trades
  • Prefer B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management, or equivalent experience in field operations as an inspector.
  • OSHA 30-hour certifications
