Job description

Enveloped | Houston, Texas

Part-Time | Paid Internship | In Person

$16โ€“$18 per hour | Approximately 16 hours per week

Love beautiful design, stationery, ribbons, pretty details, and creating things with your hands? You might be exactly who weโ€™re looking for. โœจ

Enveloped is looking for a creative, organized, detail-obsessed Graphic Design & Production Intern to join our growing team.

Enveloped creates elevated invitations and coordinating stationery for meaningful celebrations and events, with a strong focus on creativity, personalization, and exceptional attention to detail.

This is a hands-on internship for a graphic design student or recent graduate who wants real-world experience in graphic design, photo editing, print production, and product development โ€” while also getting to work with beautiful papers, ribbons, wax seals, acrylics, and all the little finishing touches that make our invitations special.

You wonโ€™t spend the whole day behind a computer. Some days youโ€™ll be perfecting artwork in Illustrator, and other days you may be tying the perfect bow, assembling an invitation suite, styling samples, or helping us bring a new design to life.

What Youโ€™ll Do

โ€ข Edit artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

โ€ข Edit and enhance photography in Adobe Photoshop for invitation designs, product imagery, and digital use

โ€ข Perform photo retouching, color correction, background removal, image cleanup, resizing, and image preparation

โ€ข Update names, dates, wording, colors, fonts, photographs, and event details accurately

โ€ข Prepare polished digital proofs and print-ready production files

โ€ข Check every project carefully for spelling, spacing, alignment, consistency, and visual balance

โ€ข Assemble invitation suites with beautiful finishing details such as envelope liners, vellum wraps, acrylic tags, ribbons, bows, wax seals, and embellishments

โ€ข Tie bows and work with ribbons, adhesives, paper, and specialty materials with precision and care

โ€ข Help create samples and bring new invitation ideas to life

โ€ข Organize artwork, fonts, client files, samples, and production materials

โ€ข Assist with quality control, packaging, and preparing orders for pickup or shipping

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

โ€ข Are currently studying or recently graduated in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field

โ€ข Are proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop

โ€ข Have experience with photo editing and retouching in Adobe Photoshop

โ€ข Are comfortable using Apple Mac computers and navigating macOS

โ€ข Are bilingual in English and Spanish

โ€ข Have a strong eye for typography, color, composition, spacing, and visual balance

โ€ข Notice tiny details other people might miss

โ€ข Love precise, pixel-perfect work

โ€ข Are crafty and genuinely enjoy making things with your hands

โ€ข Can work neatly with ribbons, bows, paper, adhesives, and delicate materials

โ€ข Have the patience to make something over again until it looks just right

โ€ข Are organized, dependable, punctual, and excited to learn

โ€ข Follow instructions carefully and manage your time well

โ€ข Are comfortable receiving creative feedback and making revisions

โ€ข Enjoy working independently while also being part of a creative team

โ€ข Love stationery, fashion, beautiful packaging, events, and all things design

Experience with Adobe InDesign, photography, print production, Cricut, laser-cut files, Shopify, or web design is a plus.

What Youโ€™ll Gain

โ€ข Real-world experience working on client and product-design projects

โ€ข Portfolio-building opportunities

โ€ข Hands-on experience in professional invitation design and print production

โ€ข Experience with Photoshop photo editing for real projects and products

โ€ข Experience working with acrylic, vellum, foil, ribbons, wax seals, bows, and custom embellishments

โ€ข Mentorship and guidance from Envelopedโ€™s creative team

โ€ข Experience working with a growing stationery brand

โ€ข Opportunities to contribute to new invitation collections and creative projects

โ€ข A creative environment where your eye for design and ideas are valued

โ€ข Potential for continued part-time or full-time employment and increased responsibility based on performance and business needs

Schedule

โ€ข Approximately 16 hours per week

โ€ข Four days per week, approximately four hours per day

โ€ข In-person position at our Houston-area studio

โ€ข Scheduling flexibility available

โ€ข Additional hours may be available during busy expo and show seasons, including opportunities to help with event setup, displays, samples, and brand activations

How to Apply

Please submit:

โ€ข Your rรฉsumรฉ

โ€ข A portfolio or examples of your design work

โ€ข Examples of Photoshop/photo-editing work, if available

โ€ข Your current weekly availability

โ€ข A brief introduction telling us about yourself and why you would like to join Enveloped

โ€ข Your experience level with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Mac computers

โ€ข Confirmation that you are fluent in English and Spanish

And if youโ€™re the kind of person who sees a crooked ribbon, uneven spacing, or an imperfect bow from across the roomโ€ฆ we definitely want to hear from you. ๐Ÿ’•โœจ

  • Applications without a portfolio or design samples may not be considered.
