ABOUT THE ROLE:
Crowd Pleasers Dance produces high-quality dance competitions and camps across Texas and beyond. We are looking for a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy Social Media Assistant to help grow our online presence and keep our audience engaged between and during events.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media Assistant will help create, schedule, and manage content across our social platforms, supporting our marketing team in building excitement around our competitions, camps, and community. This role is fully remote and offers flexible hours, making it a great fit for someone who is self-motivated and comfortable managing their own schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicate Progress via Basecamp
  • Assist with planning and maintaining a content calendar around competitions and camps
  • Source and edit photos/videos from events for social use
  • Track basic engagement metrics and share performance updates
  • Stay current on social media trends relevant to dance, sports, and events
  • Utilize Canva to draft and create content
  • Collaborate remotely with the marketing and events teams to align content with upcoming events
  • Assist with additional social media and marketing projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • An eye for engaging visual content
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook from a content-creation standpoint
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable with self-managed hours
  • Basic photo/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, or similar)
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with willingness to jump in wherever needed
