Established jewelry and gemstone company in Sedona is looking for an energetic, creative, highly motivated addition to our team.

This assistant starter position combines retail and wholesale sales, online sales, social media, live selling, content creation, inventory support, and creative assistance. You’ll work closely with our Director of Social Media, Marketing & Creative Direction and collaborate with a highly skilled creative, sales, and production team.

We’re looking for someone proactive, quick-thinking, personable, organized, visually minded, and interested in growing with the company long term. If you love gemstones, jewelry, art, fashion, design, content creation, or want to begin a career in the jewelry industry, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Sales & Online Sales

  • Assist retail and wholesale customers in person, online, by phone, email, and social media.
  • Learn Starborn’s jewelry, gemstones, materials, pricing, and company history.
  • Support customer orders, special requests, wholesale selections, merchandising, and POS systems.
  • Assist with Shopify product listings, inventory, pricing, collections, and online sales.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory across physical and online sales channels.
Shopify experience is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Live Sales & Social Media

  • Train to host and assist with Instagram Live Sales and Story Sales.
  • Present jewelry and gemstones confidently on camera and interact with customers in real time.
  • Help prepare products, track claims, and organize inventory before and after sales.
  • Create content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and other platforms.
  • Photograph and film jewelry, gemstones, team members, events, trade shows, and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Assist with Reels, TikToks, Stories, short-form editing, captions, and product highlights.
  • Spot content opportunities and help keep our visual presence fresh and current.
Most everyday content is shot on iPhone. A strong visual eye, framing, lighting, and composition matter more than professional camera experience. DSLR/mirrorless, photography, or videography experience is a plus, but not required.

Creative & Marketing Support

  • Work closely with our Director of Social Media, Marketing & Creative Direction on campaigns, launches, live sales, photo-shoots, and events.
  • Help pull and organize jewelry for content and campaigns.
  • Assist with moodboards, shot lists, visual research, styling, setup, and product organization.
  • Keep project materials, content files, product lists, and ongoing tasks organized.
  • Help coordinate between sales, inventory, web, photography, and marketing.
  • Take initiative and help keep projects moving without needing constant direction.
Trade Shows & Travel

The selected candidate will travel with the Starborn team to trade shows, including Denver in September 2026.

Trade-show work may include retail and wholesale sales, booth setup, merchandising, inventory, POS, customer service, social media, and content capture.

Applicants must be comfortable:

  • Standing and walking for 10+ hour trade-show days.
  • Working multiple busy days in a row.
  • Lifting and carrying 30+ pounds.
  • Traveling and working closely with a team.
Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Proactive, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Quick-thinking, adaptable, and a strong problem solver.
  • Personable and confident with customers.
  • Comfortable on camera for Live Sales.
  • Comfortable with social media and online sales.
  • Creative with a strong visual instinct and awareness of current trends.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating closely with a team.
  • Comfortable handling valuable jewelry and inventory.
  • Interested in learning and making a long-term commitment.
Experience with Shopify, Canva, CapCut, Adobe, Excel, Microsoft 365, POS systems, inventory software, e-commerce, photography, or video editing is a plus.

Previous experience in retail, sales, social media, e-commerce, customer service, jewelry, fashion, or art is helpful, but we’re willing to train someone with strong potential and the right attitude.

Knowledge of gemstones is a bonus—not a requirement. We can teach stones.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Employee discount
  • Company travel opportunities
  • Industry education and professional growth
Compensation: DOE
