Job description

Position Overview
We are currently hiring for Full-Time, Answering Service Operators! In this role, you will take phone calls for several large hospitals and private medical practices across the United States. The MASCO Services Call Center is a rewarding but challenging work environment where you can make a difference. This is a contract to hire position.
Work Hours: ONSITE ONLY-Temp to hire
Swing Shift-Between 10am-8pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday  and Saturday 
Second Shift-Between 2pm-11pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Training hours: 
Between 10:00 am-6:00pm for 2 weeks
Responsibilities: 

  • Handling 200-300 incoming calls per shift expediently, efficiently, and courteously using the prescribed phraseology.
  • Processing calls for the Main Listed Number, Paging, Dispatch, and Answering Service.
  • Responding to requests from staff regarding hospital staff after-hours.
  • Update databases, schedules and directories.
  • Maintaining the ability to multi-task and toggle between multiple screens seamlessly.
  • Processing various “Emergency” calls in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responding to all telephone inquiries for patient information, which may include handling confidential information.
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Two or more years of call center experience
  • Typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A clear and professional speaking voice.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly and compassionate attitude while assisting emotional callers.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including rotating weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to work in a temporary to regular employment situation 
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
