Our organization is on the lookout for enthusiastic physicians to become part of the leading Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) program in Indiana. The PHM Division comprises a well-established team of over 40 physicians with varied backgrounds and training, dedicated to providing expert patient care at a busy quaternary care teaching hospital located in Indianapolis, IN. Additionally, we offer extensive patient care experiences across multiple care models, including community hospitals throughout the state in locations such as Carmel, Avon, Fishers, and Bloomington.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have completed a Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship or possess adequate experience to qualify for board eligibility in PHM.

Our facility is recognized as a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC), the only pediatric research hospital in the state, and is ranked among the nation’s top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. • Provide inpatient teaching services at Riley Children’s, a large quaternary children’s hospital, working with teams that include PHM fellows, residents, students, and advanced practice providers (PA, APRN).
• Manage admissions for both general and subspecialty pediatric patients, including those in Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Genetics/Metabolism, Neurology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, and Adolescent Medicine. Collaborate with surgical subspecialties such as ENT, Urology, Neurosurgery, and Pediatric Surgery.
• Full-time commitment involves 12-hour shift equivalents, which may be divided between day and night shifts, totaling 154 shift equivalents annually. Faculty members will evenly share holidays and weekends. Competitive moonlighting opportunities are available, and nocturnists are particularly sought after.
• Additional clinical service opportunities are available at various locations, including PICU night coverage, community pediatric inpatient care, and a range of newborn care from labor and delivery to high-risk deliveries.
• Perform procedures such as lumbar punctures and circumcisions, among others.

• Completion of an ABMS-accredited pediatric residency.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) is required.
• Must hold an MD or DO degree and be licensed to practice medicine in Indiana or eligible for licensure.
