What You will Do
As our Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our lab collection area while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily phlebotomy operations including staffing, scheduling, training, and supervision
- Lead and mentor a team to ensure high-quality specimen collection and patient care
- Develop and maintain systems for:
- Specimen collection amp; processing
- Data entry accuracy
- Instrument calibration
- Specialized testing (e.g., stimulation tests, injections)
- Manage inventory, supplies, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and handle complex situations independently
- Collaborate with providers and leadership to support clinic efficiency and patient flow
- Support training and oversight of students or trainees when applicable

- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and phlebotomy best practices

- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills

- Comfortable working with EHR systems and data entry tools

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatrics through geriatrics)
