Technical Logistics & Systems Technician - Medical Device (Cambridge, MA)

The Full-Time Technician role involves managing the shipping, handling, and maintenance of ultrasound systems to support our medical technology operations from our Cambridge, MA office.

Your role:

  • This role involves ensuring the efficient and accurate shipping and upgrade of ultrasound systems, which directly supports the operational success of our cardiac ultrasound team

  • You will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers, vendors, and project managers, all committed to delivering high-quality medical technology solutions.

  • Key stakeholders include internal development teams, external shipping vendors, and healthcare professionals who rely on our equipment for patient diagnostics.

  • Gain hands-on experience with advanced ultrasound systems, enhancing your technical skills and knowledge in the medical technology field.

  • Develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills through troubleshooting and prototype building activities.

You're the right fit if:

  • You've acquired 1+ years of experience in a technician role, with a proven track record as an individual contributor. Experience in the medical technology or shipping logistics field is a plus.

  • Your skills include strong technical abilities in performing system hardware and software upgrades, proficiency in troubleshooting system and module issues, and familiarity with ultrasound systems and related technologies. You should have a strong background using SAP for procurement, purchase orders, material availability, etc. Bonus skills include Air IATA and Ground Certification.

  • High school diploma required - preferred 2 year vocational

  • You're an excellent communicator with effective verbal and written skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You are flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and have the physical stamina needed for this role.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together:

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position in MA is $26/hr - $40/hr.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

  • Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA.
