Job description

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) at Ohio Ambulance are tasked with treating and transporting a diversified population of individuals with some of the most severe chronic and acute health conditions. From Pediatrics to Geriatrics, from Oncology to Neurology, from Local to Long Distance travel, our EMTs experience some of the broadest spectrums of health care services of any career.
COMPENSATION Full-Time EMTs receive premium earning potential by stacking our hourly base rates, with additional compensation for past experience and availability. Part-Time and PRN EMTs can also maximize hourly rates by adding high demand shifts with pay differentials to their weekly schedules. Rates range from $36,000-$48,000.

CULTURE~ Ohio Ambulance has a long reputation for always putting our staff's needs and values above all else. WORK ENVIRONMENT~ For EMTs, this involves a fleet of Ambulances of the transit and box varieties, with the best equipment and resources available. Ohio Ambulance believes in providing EMTs with whatever it is they need to deliver quality patient care and excellent customer service. Preserving the image of the Company and the EMT is equally important.
SAFETY~ The safety of our staff and passengers never takes a backseat. For this reason, each Ambulance is fitted with Lifepak 15s, M-Series Zolls, or Philips Heartstart AEDs as well as handheld waveform capnography devices, automatic BP cuffs, and temporal thermometers. Every Ambulance is equipped with Power Cots, either Stryker XPS or Ferno Power X1. All patient documentation is logged and reported in our ePCR software provided by HealthEMS. Verizon smart phones are secured to onboard dash-holders while interfacing with our Traumasoft CAD system to provide upcoming trip information silent dispatching, and navigation with ease. NAUTO drive cam A.I. Stair chairs, Reeves stretchers, and manual lift-assists are always on-hand for the more difficult moves and transfers. Antimicrobial dome lighting is available in every patient compartment of our vehicles to continually disinfect surfaces and hard to reach crevices for additional safety and infection control. Medical Direction and Clinical Protocols provided by UH EMS Institute.
On-site Mechanics are available weekly to provide timely repairs, PMs, to company vehicles, and employee vehicles when time permits. Porters are also provided throughout the workweek to take over the Ambulances at the end of shifts to provide deep cleaning and detailing while the hardworking EMTs are free to go about their day or evening.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS~
  • State of Ohio EMT Certification
  • BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
  • A valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
